Tessa seemed to have a good relationship with her Father, while Emily was not in touch with him for a long time. According to Mirror, the Father-Daughter duo has not spoken for over 20 years.

However, Emily rushed to her Father’s bedside as the entertainer was taken to the hospital in a serious condition. He was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney due to complications from hip replacement surgery.

Who Are Tessa and Emily Humphries Parents?

Barry Humphries (Father) and Rosalind Tong (Mother) are the parents of Tessa and Emily Humphries. Their parents were married from 1959 to 1970, and it was Barry’s second marriage of his life.

Barry was married four times in his life. Furthermore, Tessa was the first child of her Father when she was welcomed into this world in 1963. The family of three increased when their second child, Emily, was born after two years in 1965.

As we know, the late comedian had described himself as an “on and off” Father, and this is very true when it comes to his second child Emily. As mentioned earlier, they were not in contact and didn’t even talk for 20 years. 

But the love didn’t end as Emily came to the hospital to look at her Father when he was admitted for his health issues.

Tessa and Emily Humphries Siblings: Family Details

Tessa and Emily are the biological siblings as they were born to Barry Humphries and Rosalind Tong. The Humphries sisters were born from their Father’s second marriage.

Apart from that, they also have two half-siblings named Oscar Valentine and Rupert Humphries. Oscar and Rupert were born in Barry’s third marriage, which was with Diane Millstead.

Not to mention, Oscar is an Australian art and design dealer and Journalist. From 2010 to 2013, he also worked as an editor of Press Holdings’s art magazine Apollo.

The whole Humphries family is devasted at this moment as they have lost Barry, who died on April 22, 2023, following complications from hip surgery.
