Actor Chris Hemsworth revealed in November 2022 that he will be taking a break from acting to focus on his family and reevaluate his priorities.
While shooting for Limitless, a National Geographic documentary series exploring ways to delay the effects of aging, he learned that certain people had a genetic predisposition to Alzheimer’s disease, which served as the basis for his decision.
Hemsworth learned that the APOE4 gene, which has been associated with an elevated risk of Alzheimer’s disease, is present in two copies in his body (one copy comes from each of his parents).
