Twice’s Chaeyoung is a South Korean singer, rapper, and dancer. She was born on 23rd April 1999 in Seoul, South Korea.
Chaeyoung joined the popular K-pop girl group Twice in 2015 after competing on the reality show “Sixteen.”
As a member of Twice, Chaeyoung has contributed to the group’s success with her vocals, rapping, and songwriting skills.
She has participated in writing lyrics for several of the group’s songs, including “I Think I’m Crazy,” “Precious Love,” and “Sweet Talker.”

Did Chaeyoung Leave Twice? What Happened To Her?
Many people have been searching if Chaeyoung left the South Korean girl group Twice which was formed by JYP Entertainment.
Many of her fans have also been assuming that she left the group after being surrounded by controversies.
However, they all seem to be rumors as the rapper and singer is still a member of the group and she hasn’t officially confirmed that she is out of the team.
JYP Nation has also not stated anything regarding Chaeyoung’s farewell from the team.
In 2015, Chaeyoung took part in the reality television contest Sixteen and was chosen as one of the singers and rappers for the newly formed female group Twice after placing sixth overall out of the nine debutants.
Furthermore, Twice made their public debut on 20th October 2015, with the release of The Story Begins, their first extended play (EP).
Chaeyoung composed a rap verse for Twice’s cover of J. Y. Park’s “Precious Love” for their 2016 EP Page Two, making her the first member of the team to receive writing credit.
Since then, Chaeyoung has contributed to the lyrical composition of numerous Twice tracks.
Furthermore, the female rapper also was the first member to participate in the composition of the group’s single “How U Doin’” on Twice’s second Japanese studio album &Twice.
Chaeyoung recorded a cover of “Alone” by Cheeze as a solo artist. As part of the Melody Project series, Chaeyoung issued a cover of Justin Bieber’s “Off My Face” on 22nd October 2021.
Chaeyoung Controversy Explained
On 18th March 2023, Chaeyoung made an appearance while promoting “Set Me Free” on Music Core premiered on MBC Show. She wore a shirt that featured images of the far-right American conspiracy theory QAnon.
Additionally, the crop top featured the words “We Go All,” a well-known slogan of the conspiracy theory organization, below a large Q that was printed with the American flag.
The rapper shared a photo of herself wearing a Nazi-themed t-shirt on her Instagram account three days later, on March 21.
The tee mainly featured a picture of Sid Vicious, the Sex Pistol’s bassist, sporting a tilted right-facing swastika, primarily called Hakenkreuz, which resembles to the one used by Nazi Germany.
Later, Chaeyoung deleted the Instagram post and apologized. “I didn’t properly identify the meaning of the tilted swastika in the tee I was wearing,” she admitted in her apology.
JYP Entertainment, Chaeyoung’s record label, also apologized for “not fully analyzing it from the label side” with respect to her Instagram post.
The QAnon shirt was not mentioned in Chaeyoung and her label’s apology.
