He worked as an auto mechanic but had ambitions to be an entrepreneur; Curren was always looking for ways to help people with their car troubles. He loved being around cars and motorcycles, which he would often work on himself in his free time.

It is with a heavy heart that the Huntington Beach Police Department must confirm the sad news of 25-year-old Curren Keale Lara’s passing. On Wednesday, March 8th, 2023 at approximately 2 a.m., Lara was in a fatal crash on Yorktown Avenue close to Waterbury Lane which tragically resulted in his death at the scene.
