People are worried about Boy George illness as his concert was canceled due to a throat problem. 

George Alan O’Dowd is a British singer, songwriter, DJ, fashion designer, mixed media artist, photographer, and record producer better known as Boy George.

He is the frontman of the pop band Culture Club. During the band’s peak popularity in the 1980s, they had global smash songs such as “Karma Chameleon,” “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me,” and “Time (Clock of the Heart).” 

George is distinguished for his passionate voice and androgynous appearance. He was a member of the New Romantic movement’s late 1970s to early 1980s movement.

Boy George, the frontman of the pop band Culture Club, suffered from crippling anxiety in the 1990s. The musician detailed his battle with the media to the Loose Women panelists, including Coleen Nolan.

“When you’re in the public spotlight, you go along and then suddenly… you realize you’re not as in charge of your life as you think you are,” he explained.

“I had these horrible panic attacks in the 1990s,” Boy George explained.

Boy George refused to pin his worry down on a single cause, saying, “it could be food, it could be too much coffee, it could be stress.”

Panic episodes last five to twenty minutes and occur unexpectedly. There is no update on Boy’s cancer. He has a problem with his throat, but the cancer news might be false.

George Alan O’Dowd was born at Barnehurst Hospital in Kent on June 14, 1961.

Jeremiah and Dinah O’Dowd are his parents, and they are both Irish. George is the youngest of five siblings. Dinah has already talked of her abuse at the hands of Jeremiah, who died in 2003.

Dinah O’Dowd published Cry Salty Tears in 2007, detailing the torture she endured at the hands of George’s father. Boy George grew raised in a busy family in Eltham, London.

He previously revealed to The Guardian that he was the “deranged” middle child significantly different from his siblings. The hitmaker contributed a vibrant preface to the book in which he begged her to escape his violent father.
