Is Lil Boosie In Jail? Born on November 14, 1982, Torrence Ivy Hatch Jr. is a famous American rapper better known by his stage names Boosie BadAzz and simply Boosie (formerly Lil Boosie).

Boosie was arrested during a traffic stop on July 12, 2022, and given a marijuana possession ticket.
Boosie was detained on October 22, 2008, when East Baton Rouge sheriff’s deputies discovered marijuana and a Glock in his vehicle.
On September 22, 2009, Boosie entered a guilty plea to a charge of marijuana possession, his third conviction, and was given a two-year prison term the following day.
On November 9, after concluding that Boosie had broken the terms of his probation while awaiting sentencing, Judge Chip Moore increased the sentence.
Boosie was placed under House arrest and subject to electronic monitoring between his plea and punishment.
Boosie was charged with the first-degree murder of Terry Boyd on June 17, 2010. Additionally, he was charged with two counts of “conspiracy to introduce contraband into a penal institution.

District Attorney Hillar Moore said the murder appeared to be an “over turf” incident. Boosie might have received the death penalty if found guilty.
Additionally, the rapper may have been responsible for at least five other homicides, according to the prosecution. Boosie pleaded not guilty in a Louisiana courtroom on June 28.
The rapper’s defense acknowledged that he is involved in several active cases, but they underlined that Boosie is not a murderer and rested their case without calling any witnesses.
After less than ten minutes of deliberation, the jury returned a unanimous not-guilty decision on the murder accusation.
Boosie pleaded guilty to the narcotics charges and was given an eight-year state prison term on November 29, 2011.
Boosie was declared not guilty of first-degree murder on May 11, 2012, by a jury.
On December 7, 2012, his counsel successfully argued that the drug ring accusation was a fabrication since the informant had promised to give Boosie, an admitted codeine addict, codeine syrup in exchange for his assistance.
Boosie’s release occurred on March 5, 2014, but he was still on parole as of 2018.
