Tucker Carlson was born to her father, Dick Carlson, and mother, Lisa McNear, on May 16, 1969, at the Children’s Hospital in San Francisco, California.

Tucker’s mother, Lisa, is a professional artist and a native of San Francisco, while his father Dick was formerly a “gonzo reporter” who subsequently progressed to become the president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting and Voice of America director.

Carlson is the older child in his family. He has a brother named Buckley Peck Carlson, alias Buckey Swanson, who is two years younger than Carlson.
