On Monday, a mass shooting occurred at the Old National Bank in Louisville, resulting in the death of four people: Joshua Barrick, Thomas Elliott (63), Juliana Farmer, and James Tutt.
Police officer Nickolas Wilt (26) was also injured in the incident, as he was shot in the head and is currently in critical condition.
The perpetrator of the shooting, a bank employee named Connor Sturgeon, was also killed by police.

Meet Louisville Shooting Victim Thomas Elliot
One of the victims of the shooting at Old National Bank in Louisville was Thomas “Tommy” Elliott, a senior vice president of the bank who had served as the chair of Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear’s inaugural committee in 2019.
Governor Beshear spoke highly of Elliott at a news conference on Monday, saying that he had helped him become governor and had been an incredible friend who offered advice on being a good father.
Elliott had also been involved in a controversy in 2016 when he refused to resign from the Kentucky Retirement Systems board at the direction of then-governor Matt Bevin.
During a news conference on Monday, Louisville Mayor Craig Greenberg expressed his condolences for the loss of Thomas Elliot, a close friend of Governor Andy Beshear and Greenberg himself.
The Mayor referred to Elliot as a friend, highlighting the impact of his loss on the community. He not only had close relations with him but with his family as well.
Thomas Elliot Wife And Family Details
Elliot was married to the daughter, Maryanne (Honeycutt) Elliott, of the late Dr. Roy Lee Honeycutt, the 8th president of the seminary, and his wife, June.
The couple had a great bonding with each other; after the death news was out, people were curious to learn about their wife, who had kept a shallow profile.
Thomas and Maryanne had two daughters, Katherine, and Emily Dotson. SBTS President Albert Mohler expressed his condolences for the loss of Elliott, who he described as a leader in Kentucky’s a business and political sphere.
Mohler also urged people to join the seminary community in praying for everyone affected by the shooting and the families who have suffered an immense burden of grief and loss.

It has been reported that the motive behind the shooting in Louisville, Kentucky, is not yet evident. However, detailed information about the shooter, Connor Sturgeon, has been made public as of this morning.
Connor Sturgeon, a 25-year-old bank employee, was identified as the shooter and was later found dead inside the bank from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Details about Sturgeon’s background, including his education and family, have been publicly shared since the shooting.
The incident was live-streamed on Instagram, and police have obtained the video. The shooter shared notes with his parents and close family member before he started firing.
Many local people believe he was not in a good mental state before doing so. But his close ones described him as very intelligent, and they never saw red flags in him.
