Michael K Williams was found dead by his nephew on September 6, 2021, in his apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. On September 24 of the same year, it was confirmed that Williams died of a drug overdose, which was a combination of fentanyl, p-fluoro fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.
In February 2022, four men were arrested concerning Williams’ passing. Irvin Cartagena recently pleaded guilty to a scheme to distribute heroin, fentanyl, and fentanyl analog.
As part of a plea deal, Irvin admitted that some drugs he sold resulted in the actor’s death. So, the recent update has shown that Irvin faces a sentence of 5 to 40 years in jail.
