It is not confirmed if Jock Zonfrillo had a biological brother. But he had a good friend, Jimmy Barnes, whom he could call a brother.
After learning of his untimely passing, Jimmy Barnes paid tribute to the MasterChef Australia judge.
The musician shared a photo of himself and the well-known chef. The two significant people in the image may be seen holding phones while donning Scottish tartan.
Barnes accompanied the image with the words, “It is a somber day.” The Blue Christmas hitmaker claimed Jock Zonfrillo was like a brother to him, and they made each other laugh and wept while noting that they lost another close friend.

“My thoughts are with Jock’s family. I can’t even speak. Rest, my friend,” the musician continued. The famous chef passed away on April 30, 2023, in Melbourne.
Jock Zonfrillo, a famous late chef, is a Glasgow, Scotland native. His dad is an Italian native of Scauri. On the other hand, his mother is a Scotsman from Dalmellington, Ayrshire.
When he was thirteen years old, Jock started working as a part-time dishwasher in the kitchen. At 22, he rose to the position of head chef at Cornwall’s Tresanton Hotel.
When Zonfrillo’s restaurants closed in March 2020, he and his family relocated to Melbourne. Up to his death, the family had been living in Carlton.
On January 1, 2017, Lauren Fried was introduced as Zonfrillo’s third wife. The two met for the first time on Twitter in October 2014. Together, the married couple welcomed two children.
