Bryn Parry was an illustrator, sporting cartoonist, caricaturist, author, and designer. After working as a cartoonist for years, he launched Help for Heroes in 2007.

He came from a middle-class family, and to make ends meet, he worked really hard and worked in multiple places. He previously served as an instructor in jungle warfare and counterterrorism.

At the age of 29, he resigned as a captain and purchased a cottage in the Wiltshire community of Whiteparish to pursue an artistic career.

He created the regiment’s Christmas card while serving in the army and caricatured his fellow troops to sell for five dollars each time. But at the time, it appeared to be a hasty choice.

After years of struggling, Bryn Parry finally rose to prominence as a cartoonist, establishing the Bryn Parry Studios as a design and gift company that offered aprons, mouse mats, and mugs decorated with his imaginative creations like Wocker Cocker and Mrs. Aga.

Moreover, in 2007, Parry and his wife Emma were inspired to start Help for Heroes after visiting injured soldiers at a military hospital. They were moved by the courage and resilience of these soldiers and wanted to do something to support them and their families.

They launched Help for Heroes with the aim of providing direct, practical support to wounded, injured, and sick veterans and their families, including financial assistance, housing support, and rehabilitation services.
